When you’re looking for a house, they say what matters most is “Location, location, location” … and it’s no different when choosing your student accommodation too!! Aberdeen House is superbly located right on the edge of Scarborough town centre, making it your number one choice.

On top of that … Aberdeen House has just undergone a top quality refurbishment in September 2017 … including two new kitchen/diners, new furniture and carpets to the communal areas … as well as new furniture, carpets and beds in all of the bedrooms …

It therefore simply has to be the place to stay!

Aberdeen House has been a popular student residence in the coastal resort of Scarborough for over 15 years. We are situated in a quiet location, yet only 50 metres walk away from the pedestrianised area of Scarborough Town Centre and only a short distance away from the brand new Coventry University Scarborough Campus at Weaponess opened in September 2016.

Located on Aberdeen Walk, we are right by all the shops, supermarkets, takeaways, restaurants and other amenities catering for your student requirements. We are also very close to the central library, main Post Office, main bus stops, the seafront and Scarborough train station. It’s why Aberdeen House has been a firm favourite for students for over 15 years, offering a warm, friendly, safe and clean environment to study and live. Our rooms are only available to students.

Aberdeen House is a very grand and spacious building spread over four floors offering 11 individual lockable bedrooms making it just the right homely size; not too big and not too small! All bedrooms are well furnished to suit your student requirements and we are able to offer a very wide range of room sizes most of which are en suite. Some rooms also offer very spectacular views over Scarborough.

Our clean and modern rooms provide terrific value for money, in a superb location, offering fully inclusive prices covering gas, electric, water and the most important thing … unlimited superfast Wi-Fi!!

We also have a separate laundry room which has three large washing machines, a tumble drier, two irons and ironing boards which are free to use. The communal areas are cleaned once a week (included).

We are a fully licensed HMO with Scarborough Borough Council and are members of the Scarborough Landlords Association.

Welcome to Scarborough

Scarborough’s is a story of many ‘firsts’. The town became known as probably the world’s first seaside resort back in the 1600s, when the health-giving properties of the Spa waters were discovered. Bathing machines to preserve swimmers’ modesty as they took to the sea were first seen here. And by the mid-1800s, with the coming of the railways and the popularity of sea bathing on the rise, Scarborough was the venue for two of the world’s first purpose-built hotels, The Grand and The Crown.

Today Scarborough still offers stunning scenery, glorious beaches, with loads to do and see. Not forgetting the superb new Coventry University Scarborough Campus opened in September 2016.

Scarborough offers many different activities to suit varying tastes, be it shops, bars, restaurants, music, nightlife, the fantastic beaches and the dramatic scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors.

There’s always something happening around the town and Aberdeen House is ideally placed being only 50 metres from the start of the pedestrianised area of the town centre.

If you’re studying in Scarborough, Aberdeen House has to be your first choice.
